A simple 3-steps guide on of how how to turn Japan into a Vassal state after American WW2 victories. Big Grin

  1. MacArthur's title was Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, or SCAP -- it was very much an American show, and there was no doubt who was in charge.
  2. MacArthur established his General Headquarters in the Dai Ichi Insurance Building in central Tokyo, the higher floors of which overlooked the Jap Imperial Palace.
  3. MacArthur wanted a "revision of the Meiji Constitution." Then his American staff wrote an entirely New Constitution for Japan - which has served to control Japanese affairs ever since - without the change of a comma.

We have to remember the "rise of Japan" wasn't smooth sailing in the decades after end of WW2.
Who supported the rise of Japan ? The Korean War. That  triggered the rapid growth in Jap GDP and economy as US military need supplies and industrial support - That lead to Japan's "Economic Miracle" in 1970-80s with US market access helping rise of Jap Inc like Toyota, Sony, Toshiba, Mitsubishi etc etc.

The Korean War marked the turn from economic depression to recovery for Japan. As the staging area for the United Nations forces on the Korean peninsula, Japan profited indirectly from the war,
