The current UN Chief is not an impartial person. He is a former Prime Minister of Portugal which is a NATO member.

UN Chief now wants to evacuate both civilians and (Ukrainian) "fighters" still trapped in the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol.This statement came after he met Zelensky in Kiev on 28 Apr.  Mr  Guterres met Putin in Moscow a day earlier when the UN Chief was told by Putin that  Russia had stopped military operation in Mariupol and civilians can leave through Russian-controlled corridors. Putin wants those defeated Ukraine fighters arrested instead of allowing them to sneak out using the civilians as human shield.
