Buffett sure knows when and where to place his bet, errr "investment" with.... Big Grin

Jan 7, 2023:

Over the past three months, shares of BYD are down just 2%. That's compared to a 9% decline in XPeng, a 37% decline in Nio, a 52% dive for Rivian, a 51% plunge for Lucid, and a 54% decline in Tesla over the same time period. And in the past year, BYD is down just 19%, compared to declines of about 70% for Tesla and Nio, and a decline of 78% for XPeng.

Has CNA or ST reported this  ?  Big Grin

BYD sold a record number of electric vehicles (EVs) in December and consolidated its position as the world’s largest seller of automobiles that run on non-fossil fuels, vindicating the faith placed in it by Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway.

Buffer was wrong. Look at the revenue and profit for 2022. No wonder TESLA can afford to cut prices

You so brave to ready swallow  what an Indian tells u about EV market. But then hor....

Big Grin

Tesla already cut prices in October, as China’s mass market and premium EV segments becomes increasingly crowded by the likes of domestic players BYD Co., Xpeng Inc. and Nio Inc....“This time it’s serious,” Chris McNally, an Evercore ISI analyst with the equivalent of a hold rating on Tesla, said in a note. The new entry price for the Model 3 is likely to combat BYD’s recently introduced and popular Seal model, he wrote.

Tesla has no choice but to continue cutting prices in China. It is losing market share in its main market even though its absolute sales figures are going up.
