As expected incompetent leaders and regulators, choose path that creates instability and contagion.

The reasoning given is also stupid thinking a bailout helps SVB CEO and executives. They have already been ousted. The bailout is to help innocent depositors and companies  who saved money.

True, should not bailout. The CEO and company must take responsibility for the failure. M&A is the way out. The bank can only continue under a different management and owner now.
