Not just money printing, their trade war and all sorts of sanctions have disrupted supply chains!

The problem started with Bush Junior but the effects came later. Traditionally, govts use tax cuts as a tool to stimulate the economy, but Bush cut tax during boom times. Likewise Trump. When recession threatened, there was no more room to cut taxes, so quantitative easing aka money printing was the only way out. That led to inflation.
