your friend must be " under the new scheme " before that is 28 days annual leave.
I do know now they cut short is 21 annual leaves
the rest un change , 30 days hospital leaves , 30 days MC , Child care MC " means if your kids under 10 I think you entitle on leave too so call Child MC take care the child " , than parent care leave

yup , this is why I keep mention " short courses are BS " lol you go ask ANY Civil servants, they attend till numb for the seek of " KPI "
They like go course because no need go office and straight from there go back home. Some trainer even release you early.

Let be honest, private sectors unlikely to implement,
so it better to must push more holidays or enforce laws
to release one hour to go back earlier.

Not sure yours is how old. Let me share mine as I work in HDB 1998. Uni grad go in 21 days. Work 10 years 28 days. Last time got a scheme say never use finish commute to pay at I think cap at 14,21? So a lot take monies until govt cannot take it stop that scheme. Old ppl say govt pay low so go private but that is very olden times. When I start work in 1998 civil service pay no lose to private for fresh graduate.

If I correct , yes is not straight 28 annual leaves. Is after few years so call " contract " become perm staff..later from 21 to 28 annual leaves, last time you can convert to " cash " if never take your annual leaves but they changed, now is 21 annual leaves , cannot convert to cash if you never use your annual leaves.

In fact , there is NO much difference come so call " Contract " vs " Perm " staffs inside public sectors.

BOTH entitle the SAME BONUS whenever Govt announce how much for mid and year end bonus.

the annual leave got different of course come Contract staffs vs Perm staffs
