Use Cheapo cooler may easily damage and shorten your CPU life span. Now CPU performance has improved tremendously and especially CPU nowadays has a built in integrated graphic chip, it actually make sense to invest on a mid-range heatsink or a premium heatsink.
For mid range heatsink like the one I purchased, it actually doesn’t cost much. I know it can run comfortably on a 12th Gen I7 12700k CPU.
If you want to buy 12th Gen I9 12900K CPU, then I will recommend to buy a CPU water cooler heatsink instead of CPU tower fan cooler heatsink.

I don’t recommend buying gaming laptop.
Buying gaming laptop got 2 major problems.
1）Make sure your CPU can be removed, not those that are wielded onto the motherboard.
Sometimes, the CPU failed to perform due to contact issue with the motherboard. Normally laptop heatsink is not as good as desktop heatsink. In Chinese, we call it 空焊。
2）Laptop doesn’t have water proofing unlike Handphone got IP68. Some ppl like to drink beverage when playing game. What happen if you accidentally spill your beverage onto the gaming laptop. You can probably say bye bye to your gaming laptop. It is not cheap to repair it and water spillage onto your laptop will void warranty.

Just managed to get my new desktop working.
Still haven’t tidy up the cables.

After setting up my computer, the bios cannot detect the Samsung M2 NVME drive.
Luckily, I managed to find this article.
Otherwise I will have hard time doing troubleshooting. Just for sharing!

i've read that NVME SSDs can't be recognized or later lose data for a number of people ..................so i don't dare to buy.............anyway, i don't need it
by the way, why your hard drive is on its side (vertical) instead of horizontal ?

I prefer to put it vertical. Got few reasons.
Can save space for 1 more hard drive/SSD and hide the cables.
The main reason is more easy to damage the magnetic read/write head if you put it horizontal for some time.
Due to gravity, it will tend to in contact with the substrate media once it has stopped working. Current HDD does not have parking lot(means rougher surface to reduce friction issue during flying up) for magnetic head like the old HDD if I did not remember wrongly.
Once the HDD starts to work, the Magnetic head which in contact with the substrate media will create great fiction between them. Do you think how long your HDD magnetic head can last?

Cheap 500w PSU is sufficient for my current computer setup. Later I will buy a mid range graphic card to complete the build.
500w PSU still have a 6+2 pin connector for graphic card.
If you are buying a high end graphic card. It will not have enough power to juice up your high end graphic card. I would recommend to purchase a 750w PSU.
If you are another Siao lang would like to install double graphic cards. Then it is a must to buy higher wattage PSU. I think 750watt PSU shd be enough.
Now not many games support double graphic cards.

How to update Gigabyte Z690 UD DDR4 Bios from Ver F1 to Ver F5 dated 17 Dec 2021.
Click the Gigabyte app on the system Tray icon.
Select Bios and choose the server site.(Make sure you have already activated your Windows OS) I choose Taiwan Server 2. It takes about few minutes to complete the flashing of Bios. Do not switch off the computer during flashing of Bios.
How to do overclocking?
Go into Bios, under Tweaker Tab, select Extreme Memory profile, need to set profile 1, don’t select disable.
Then select the overclocking speed.
Then save and exit.

Mobility means laptop? Laptop actually has the most rubbish design for gaming… Easy to spoilt mainly due to poor handling of overheating issue.
