Correct. This finding good people argument is deeply flawed as so-called 'good people' will still get corrupted.
With only two keys (both are own people since 1965 LOL) and no more independent 3rd party to check, once corruption takes place, nobody will ever find out.

The irony is CPIB also report to the first key and then can only go to the 2nd key and stops there, LOL.

SG is hopeless under this freaking ownself check ownself party.

Chances are, they only selectively reveal a corrupt minister to the public once in a blue moon with a sole motive of telling the public they are fair and transparent but God knows, LOL.

For all we know, since 1965, there might be many more of corrupt cases involving senior Gov officials and PAP ministers/appointment holders etc. and yet totally covered up to perpetuate PAP's rule over Singapore to continue to benefit the power elite network.

Since time immemorial, the plot twist in big corruption scandals like the famous Mother of all scandals aka Operation Car Wash scandals uncovered in Brazil which is also linked to the Keppel Corruption case, is such that the mastermind behind is those that always appear as most righteous and lease corrupt, but found out to be otherwise, LOL.

Only with a change of Gov can we really know the truth after opening up the can of worms.

First to check should be Temasek holdings and all associated GLCs and links to the upper echelons of the PAP-Gov.

Quote: The problem is, both the PM and President are part of the executive (so, the same key entry method). And since they’re just two people, there is a real risk that should this single channel fail—a PM is corrupt, and the President blur—then we’re (in PM Lee’s words) “sunk.” (9/n)

Heng arh!  am not as dumb as that Malaysian Traitor

It's a Logically flawed statement

Because good people are not perfect

Why find good people when they are not right?

Look at disGrace, Cotton, Shoot Blank Queen   . . .

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

when the first and second keys were cut from the same mould, it is a master key. no matter how many layers of redundancy are in place, so long as they report to the same political party, it is still a master key

This is why George Goh will likely lose his eligibility for the PE and even if he managed get the cert, will still be tio fixed by PAP to lose to Tharman to prevent a truly independent president, LOL.

This is for PM and past presidents to know only.

Under OSA, the CPIB is forbidden to reveal any attempts at high profile investigations on ministers to the public even if the PM refused to concur and the President agrees with the PM. Then the public will know nothing, 神不知鬼不觉。

If the PM did not inform the cabinet, noone will know as well, 神不知鬼不觉. So if any other ministers (as reported recently, namely CCS and Tharman) claims that til date, the PM has never refused a CPIB request to investigate a minister, it's total rubbish.

PM Lee only says that the CPIB may approach the president if the PM refused to concurr. He did not say it is mandatory for the CPIB to go to the president.

For all we know, once the director's proposal is rejected by the PM, the director may feel intimidated, instructed to do another review (since it reports to the PM) or simply give up and stops there, without even going to the president. God knows what obstacles the CPIB may face to go to the president if the PM refused to concurr. And during all these debacle, the public will never know, again 神不知鬼不觉.

This is the whole freaking problem when any fair-minded person from the public will know that they cannot trust such a rubbish two-key system with so many loopholes.
