SBQ should be 枪毙
My friend in recruitment said once your resume has 3 issues,
no companies will hire you because they have lots of FTs in Asia to choose
1) Resume without continuous working history aka GAPS
2) Working History are Temp/ Contract jobs
3) If you are above 45 years -old
These are the HUGE Mistakes that SBQ forced some citizens to bear
She really has destroyed families and lives.

The Singapore govt will never admit the big foreign influx displaces Singaporeans.
Yr after yr the problem becomes more serious.
I guess it has to reach a breaking point for people to wake up

Singapore new citizens voting for the first time..
"SINGAPORE: For many new citizens in Singapore, the General Election 2025 marked a historic moment: casting their vote for the first time.
Several of them took to social media to express their excitement and pride in participating in the country’s democratic process, emphasising the significance"

The PAP government is only doing what it takes to stay in power. It's the daft voters who are at fault.

No point complaining as this will carry on as long the current gov in power.
Do remember they already sign agreements to take in many FT as possible. You take MRT already can see the increasing of foreigners.

For me the whole situation is seen like this
1. Some time in the early 90s, the PAP realises it can grow the economy bt increasing population through foreign influx.
2. This method is a short cut is easier than other methods like raising productivity, inmovation and restructuring the economy which are difficult and benefits takes time to realise.
3. So they stick to this sure fire short cut.
4. The detrimental effects are (a) as Singapore becomes more crowded costvof living rises sharply b) Singaporeans jn particular older Singaporeans get displaced from their jobs.
5. To justify continued use of this short cut economic growth method of importing foreigners, the PAP will deny that there are problems. Or when problems become serious they will patch with CDC or workfare.
6. These policies continue until they become unsustainable.
Which is a matter of time.
7. Those who are hit directly as a result of the policies have to just endure. These people include those who are retired or low income facing ever rising cost of living.
We learn from the Japanese socio political system that things dont change until a significant number are hit by the negatives- that was when Japanese voted LDP out of power. By then it was also too late and they system cannot be fixed.
Same as in Singapore. When price of housing goes up, young couple struggle to buy homes to start fanilies. After that, you cannot fix the problem by making home prices lower because those who bought higher will suffer. This means there is no good solutions. A solution is forced upon and painful like in HK where property prices dropped after people left and population shrunk. Thats a painful resolutuon of the situation.
Dont ever waste time thinking the PAP will ever fix anything. You have to accept the situation and make the best of it.
