Plse...I hope our govt stop the VTL.
And keep restrictions. Once this variant comes it is hard to control.

Stock market is plunging fast as vaccines is ineffective against this variant.

Nothing surprising.

The new variant is a serious thing. It's even more potent in terms of evading vaccine than Delta.

We know what happened when Delta came.

I am rather shocked there is no response from the Sjngapore govt.

They are making the mistake of staying calm and maintaining direction when they shouldn't be.

Now nikkei down 900pts.

Our govt is on track to "ease restrictions".

I urge them to stop and see the situation first.

What they are doing is risky.

Actually no. This will weaken the recovery delay inflation and keep interest down and bring in deflationary pressures.

Fed will start yo sound dovish.

In a perverse way, this keeps the bubble.going a bit longer after the initial sell off...just like Mar 2020 market selloff then go up non stop despite pandemic getting worse and worse. Same pattern this time.

In my mind I am thinking HSI index will be down because it has a mix of property,  industrial, retail and hospitality etc.....but the HS Tech may shock us by closing positive....surest sign that growth valuation will be again helped by this.
