46.8% is too low. It means recession is coming.

US manufacturing is a highly diversified sector that contributed $2.9tr to GDP in 2023, equivalent to just over 10% of all economic output. It also employed 13 million people, accounting for 8.3% of all US jobs.

China manufacturing PMI is at 6 months low,  deteriorating from 49.4 in July to 49.1 in August. It is only slightly better than the US.

https://www.reuters.com/markets/asia/chi...024-08-31/

For US,  the manufacture contributes only 10% to GDP whereas its Service sector contributes about 77%. The August service PMI rose from 55 in July to  55.2 in August.  Net net,  there should b sn increase in GDP figure. They have just revised US GDP to 3% from 2.8% for 2Q. Hope they can maintain the same in Q3

Let's consider that a PMI of 50% has zero contribution to the GDP whereas a PMI above 50% increases and a PMI below 50% decreases the GDP by the same proportion. We should get the following table that can predict the % increase in annual GDP if such a result is maintained over the 12 months..
