You obviously are not a local if you didn't know that people who are physically disadvantaged and the very old do NOT have to return the tray.

That's another story.  If a 90 year old ah ma wants to return the tray with her shaking hands, while trying to also hold a walking stick and not fall, I think any good hearted patron would stop her and take the tray away from her....except for cityhantum...he thinks that the law requires ah ma to return her tray wor.

leaders of those has special requirements should try to mininzed inconvienent to others. if they have requirements then it is their need to find a solutions to it. for example used disposable. or return to store. this is the way to harmony. not impose requirements on others.

Actually no, I have on occasions looked for halal tray return areas when eating Muslim food but was told by the cleaning auntie just put here (non halal) as she said no more halal huans.

3 Simple choices for her-

1) Separate Halal and Non- Halal areas where each have their own different corners

2) Cleaners separate the Halal and Non- halal used/ dirty dishes for washing only

3) Halal people can use washed and cleaned plates and cutleries
But Halal people do not need to use used/ dirty plates and cutleries
