You obviously are not a local if you didn't know that people who are physically disadvantaged and the very old do NOT have to return the tray. Rolleyes

Do NOT have to does not mean they are not allowed to. Some old folks may try to return the trays.

That's another story.  If a 90 year old ah ma wants to return the tray with her shaking hands, while trying to also hold a walking stick and not fall, I think any good hearted patron would stop her and take the tray away from her....except for cityhantum...he thinks that the law requires ah ma to return her tray wor.  Rolleyes

leaders of those has special requirements should try to mininzed inconvienent to others. if they have requirements then it is their need to find a solutions to it. for example used disposable. or return to store. this is the way to harmony. not impose requirements on others.
any way my experience when queuing most of the purchase is take away.

Do all patrons of food centres know what is halal and non-halal?

Before: At your service; After: Serves you right!

Islam is not a religion of any particular country. You didn't know that there are Chinese who are Muslims? The oldest mosque in China was built before Islam even came to Malaysia and Singapore. Rolleyes

Therefore all the more we should broaden our general knowledge not to serve meat to someone who is a vegetarian, be tolerant even if your religion does not teach ancestor worship and so on.

So what's so hard about learning the word halal that you have to bring Saudi in to tell us that you aren't very smart after all?

Who eats plates or tray?

If not eaten, why so particular about tray and plates?

So long as the plates and trays are washed and cleaned, it should be alright.

Just like vegetarians, so long as the plates are clean, they can use the plates to serve.

Don't ever believe the trays, crockery and cutlery in FC and HC are washed clean. Singapore's standard of cleanliness in this aspect is I'd give 4/10.

Right.

If so strict then we should also have halal and nonhalal toilets, tables, carparks, traffic lanes, etc.

This will be a forever problem if Small Eyes does not want to take action.

3 Simple choices for her-

1) Separate Halal and Non- Halal areas where each have their own different corners

2) Cleaners separate the Halal and Non- halal used/ dirty dishes for washing only

3) Halal people can use washed and cleaned plates and cutleries
But Halal people do not need to use used/ dirty plates and cutleries

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?
