A 41-year-old Singaporean woman and her four-month-old daughter died in an accident in Hokkaido, Japan on Tuesday morning.

Chinese-language daily Lianhe Zaobao reported that the car they were in collided with a large lorry in the ski town of Kamifurano at around 11.30am.

News reports in Japan said that the woman’s 44-year-old husband and the couple’s elder daughter, three, were also injured in the crash.

Not special tires, but iron chain wrapping to increase grip on icy/snowy roads.
But even then, don't think Sporeans are used to drive in such snowy road conditions.

Sporeans driving in overseas are mostly ignorant to local traffic rules and road situation, on the snow must put chains on all tyres, it is a must in Australia, not sure about in Hokkaido. It is not like driving in Spore. Rest in Peace!

Very hard to drive on snow without chains, and the road on the mountain can be narrow, can easily fall off cliff or get stuck in deep snow trap next to the road. Visibility is very low also.
