How come Hokkien dialect in China is different in Xiamen, Changzhou and Quanzhou.

Mainly due to Migration.
闽语 normally refers as 福建话(Hokkien in Sg)
闽西话 refers Hakka（客家）
Still have 闽东，闽南，闽北话

Actually native people of Fujian were short, flat nose and dark skinned people, after the First Emperor conquered Southern China 2000 years ago, waves of Han Chinese migrated there and intermarried with local girls and created taller and light skinned new Fujian people.

Southern China was home of hundreds of minority groups including Malays, Thais and Vietnam…after First Emperor conquered Southern China, many of these minority groups fled to Southeast Asia.
Hakka people are the true blue Han Chinese migrated from central China.

Logical reason I can think of is Southern China very hot the sun shine non-stop so ppl live there skin is dark and short as the sun too bright cannot stand up straight. Northern sun not so bright so ppl live there skin is fair and very tall. Then the fair skin migrate to South and viola South got fair skin ppl and also tall.

No lah, Southern China is not as hot as Southeast Asia, it has winter…it is all genetic….likely Southern Chinese are related to Vietnamese, Thais and even Malays before they were mixed with central Chinese that migrated there later on.

So strictly speaking other than Hakka we are not pure Chinese.
