Temasek to step up investments once market valuations drop further, executive says
#1

Singapore's Temasek Holdings said that market valuations had not yet priced in a global economic recession and that the state investor was waiting for further declines before stepping up investments.

"Current valuations are not reflecting the risk of downturn we see in the next 12 to 18 months," Temasek's chief investment officer Rohit Sipahimalani said on Friday (Sep 30).

Temasek has admitted those previous investments were misjudged and today, are causing huge revaluation losses ..

No brainer but hopefully by averaging, and injecting new cash will reduce the impact on the whole portfolios.

If this happened in China, many will face the firing squad and the rest in prison.

I think it happened 35 years ago in Sweden where a monkey throwing darts and stock picks, the champion had beaten all fund managers.

It was in the Swedish newspapers, "Svenska Dagbladet".
