US Companies are already adding a ‘Trump surcharge’ to bills

Information

Companies across the country are adding a surcharge to customers’ bills in the wake of President Donald Trump’s sweeping tariffs.

On April 2, Trump announced blanket tariffs of at least 10 percent on nearly every country, in what he called “Liberation Day” for the U.S. Then, on Wednesday he paused these tariffs for 90 days, citing Americans becoming “yippy” and “afraid.”

Laughing Clapping

Trump's stupidity is quite fascinating.
He still says China is paying this tariff.

If the goods is a product from China. It won’t b a surprise.  There is no way the company can get China mfger to lower the price.  Note tt they r not adding the full tariff which is 145% of subtotal and they can still sell.

The Tariff Surcharge for the iPhone is a bit strange. Shouldn't it be zero now that the tariffs for mobile phones from China are temporarily stopped?

Even if the tariff on mobile phones is still on, what is the tariff on India? 26%? 700 dollars seems a bit too much. And for China, that surcharge is way too low.
