Let me go slow to share so that this website does not close down. There could be 25 or 30 misconceptions that I may not be aware, so feel free to add on.
1. LW- impose Overly Restrictive Policies
This begs the question of PAP's Extremist intention again to blame us.
2. LW- SG will lose out on "good" investments if we push for "Politically craven approach".
Companies leave because PAP made the rental too high and FTs too costly ie Ramesh $66k per mth
3. LW- Open Economy has created more good jobs.
Is he saying that other 20 other countries has smaller Open economy did not create good jobs?
4. LW- Freeing up jobs taken by FTs will not automatically allow citizens to fill these roles.
Manpower issues and training is never automatic. That is why PAP failed umpteen times.
Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

5. LW- Many companies have difficulty filling these vacancies
Because they want 99% job fit. But this is Singapore with workforce of only 3.5 million, NOT 600 million like India where anyone in the streets of India can easily fit any vacancies.
6. LW- Companies will find elsewhere to operate
Does he know why Companies are here? Because it is stable and safe. So let them go since they cannot create good jobs for us and their profits insufficient to pay us.
7. LW- We will lose all the jobs they brought here
He is saying he will lose his salary? But they did not hire citizens, so no lose for us.
8. LW- And our Economy will contract
Will 50 or 200 companies be leaving cause such false alarm? Stop threatening us if you are not competent.
9. LW- Singaporeans will ultimately pay the price
But this is PAP’s incompetence and we are punished either way. We will still be jobless and no difference.
10. "Let me be clear: We are bringing in investments and growing the economy, not as an end in itself, but as a means to an end," Mr Wong said. "Our aim is to create good jobs and improve the lives of all Singaporeans."
What is the point when you create BetterER jobs for FTs?

11. Mr Wong noted that from 2010 to 2019, median income in real terms grew by 3.2 per cent yearly for Singapore residents.
But the salary of FTs from developing countries grew by 400% when they come here. Can you match this equivalent?
12. "During bad times, we do not quarrel and fight over a shrinking pie. Instead, we rally as a team to solve our problems, and grow the pie for all to benefit."
But during good times and bad times, you still refused to tackle this problem and did not rally as a team to benefit all except yourselves.
13. “Locals will continue to be displaced because of technology and innovation”.

Even in Hospitals or Pharmaceutical manufacturing, the technology is just upgrading from V3 or to a new model. It does not cause job loss when 80% of the function is the same.

As I said, I checked before. Changes in technology does not make citizens jobless but rather it is the Employment Pass!
Look at the 300 job postings in the last 1 year. The jobs for Marketing, HR, Engineering Mgr . . . . simply just added 1 line to say to do . . . . which is barely half hour each week.
Is PAP saying that with new technology, all employees will be retrenched? Hell NO.
