Why put the PC in sleep mode?  To start up quickly?  but a PC in sleep mode will consume about 10 to 20 watts of power.  Why waste this power?  Good to use a very fast SSD that would start up a PC within a few seconds.

Can't wait for the PC to start up in seconds,  then hibernate it and put the PC on auto-start mode so that it will start the PC automatically or put the PC in sleep mode every morning before you use it.  In hibernation mode,  the PC consumes only about 1 or 2 watts of power

This is a good point. I've often put my laptop to sleep mode so that I can continue to do what I've left behind from the previous day. I didn't know the difference in power consumption is so big.

If you put your computer/laptop into sleep mode. Your peripheral may not function properly after waking up if you did not have the latest drivers installed.
You may need to restart your computer/laptop again.

Sometimes you may also encounter blue screen due to sudden spike of power drawing from CPU and GPU.

I never off because the internal battery died.

once off, the date and time will reset to factory setting.

SSD nowadays are cheap.  A 500 GB costs around $100/=.  It will take up to 6 GB if you have 8 GB of ram.    That 6 GB space will cost 100*6/500 or $1.20, and one can save the money back within a month.

Not advisable as you are potentially giving more time for hackers to trawl your device.

i got 16GB of RAM and i sleep 7-8 times a day..........plus shut down = 8-9 times multiply by 12GB = 108GB............plus my normal use of 20GB daily..............so 128GB daily.............

46.7TB a year..............before wear levelling some more..............my SSD will wear out before 10 years...............yes, i hope to use it that long...........

according to Jonnyguru...........even on high end PSUs, you risk shortening the lifespan of the PSU by on/off the PSU daily.........
