Am so happy if they are throw behind bars for assault. Somemore, riding illegally with so many on the vehicle. This is an offence that warranted jail and fine. It shd set a good precedent of punishments. Many social media knew this and everyone waiting for an answer on what actions taken. Even Chinese newspapers reported this case, no way they can run away.

I heard that "4 people are assisting the police in their investigations" into the assault i.e. the perpetrators have been identified and arrested. Thankfully, passers-by recorded the assault on their mobile phones.

Glad to hear this. They shd be punished for illegal mis-use of PMA vehicle. Coupled with assault on a helpless lady by 5 of them. The public is waiting for the results from the Court sentence. The judge shd not be lenient to such case. Must mete out a heavy deterrent sentence to set a precedent for those who assault and attack pedestrians on walkway by PMA riders.

Striking another person with a shoe is not only physically harmful, but is a significant symbolic and religiously offensive act in Islam. The police should charge the 4 attackers with committing a hate crime.

In the first place, why LTA even allow such healthy people to ride, they are not even handicap. Worst, the PMA can even carry pillion. All these PMA should only be sold to those certified by doctor and should only restrict to one seat. Now it has become a social issue. Who should be responsible?

Conversely, the Muslims should not have caused any physical harm to her...

I think some Chinese individuals may hold prejudiced views toward other races. Ultimately, no one should dictate how others conduct their daily lives....for me the lady should just shut up and mind her own business!

What you are essentially doing is condemning the woman for telling the PMA riders to slow down on a pedestrian walkway which they should not even be travelling on. So the Traffic Police should not tell motorists to not travel above the speed limit or stop at red lights if these drivers/riders refuse to obey traffic laws. Are you even of sound mind?

Without bringing race into this incident, how can anybody in his/her right mind condone the vicious attack by 4-5 individuals against a lone woman? If these criminals insist on behaving like beasts, then they should be locked up like animals.

Did the PMA riders actually harm anyone before the Chinese lady decided to interfere? If not, why should she be giving them orders to slow down? Do you slow down your car at night when there is no traffic? While you advance, you will keep  a look out isn't it! And if your tone is harsh towards them, should they just set aside their pride and comply? Who are you to dictate how others should behave?
