Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport in China was named the most improved, followed by LaGuardia Airport in the U.S.

Skytrax lists Da Nang Airport as world's 3rd most improved

The award category recognizes airports with the best transformation over a 12-month period.

Da Nang Airport was also named among the 10 best regional airports in Asia, those that predominantly serve domestic or regional short-haul international flights.

Other airports in the list of 10 world's most improved airports in order are: Shenzhen (China), New York LGA (U.S.), Sofia (Bulgaria), Sapporo (Japan), San Jose Juan Santamaría (Spain), Calgary (Canaada), Porto (Portugal), Rome Fiumicino (Italia) and Baltimore-Washington (U.S.).

Other airport in the list of 10 Asia’s best regional airports in order are: Centrair Nagoya (Japan), Haikou Meilan (China), Fukuoka (Japan), Hyderabad (India), Bangalore (India), Xi'an (China), Seoul Gimpo (South Korea), Changsha (China) and Sapporo (Japan).
