Naturally nobody including Zelenskyy is expecting Xi to visit Ukraine anytime soon, but like I mentioned previously in another post – this is a very bad development for the US.
 
Right after China announced its peace plan for Ukraine, US officials immediately rubbished the plan left right centre. Now we have a scenario where the main actor and supposedly hardcore US vassal Zelenskyy who after taking so much aid from the US is openly inviting its enemy China to help out in the situation.
 
This is the clearest indication that US-Ukraine relationship is not as ironclad as the Americans would have the world believe and most importantly, it also means that Zelenskyy could be attempting to leverage on China to squeeze out even more freebies from US and NATO right at a time when opposition to unlimited aid is rising domestically in US and many European nations are simply exhausted with the never ending war.
 
It could also mean that the Ukrainians are already making contingency plans so that if/when US performs yet another abandonment/betrayal, Ukraine will likely lean on China to help negotiate a peace deal with Russia. Take note to date that both Russia and Ukraine still tacitly recognize China's neutrality on this matter though a lot of pro-US and pro-China people insist otherwise.
 
US is now stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea. Give in to these coercive blackmail tactics from Zelenskyy and risk contributing endlessly to a bottomless pit or abandon Ukraine and risk a China peace deal materializing which would likely lead to a collapse of any credibility left of the NATO alliance and cause its European allies to run to China at an even faster rate.
