Simple - Iswaran own actions basically self-pawn.
1. In Jan, he published a Statement saying he is "innocent" and want to "clear his name"

It was reported that Justice Hoong sentenced Iswaran to 6x the 8-Weeks jail sought by Iswaran's lawyers legal team, because the ex-Minister fail to display any guilt.
It is a no brainer when one see a criminal attempt to return $ on a "backdated payment" at the last moment.
