She has condominium
Her mum has a Flexi flat
Both have a roof over their heads
Can ask her mum staying condominium with her
No urgency to support
Alternatively she can buy a resale flat

She cannot. Must wait 15 months, which is the reason for her appeal to HDB.

I think she just want to cash out her profit from the condo lah. Just using her mum as excuse. There are so many ways to take care of her mum. And why is her mum living in flexi flat?

A person with dementia shouldn’t live alone in the first place. A care giver should take care of the mum while the auntie waits out her 15 months.

She is just trying to game the system to her own benefit and be ahead of the queue.

A plaster approach to patch the wrong policy in the first place... Lol

If HDB indeed is for living and affordable for all. Why run it at market value and secondary market transaction? Because that creates a market so multiplier effect can occur. Why not state distribute HDB and take back HDB and not get into the secondary market that ref to private market for pricing??

Why allow HDB owners to buy private but not private owner buy HDB? Lol

Want to maintain HDB as public housing identity must not allow PR to purchase any HDB flat. All singaporeans can purchase 1 HDB doesn't matter if you have any other private property. Cos it is public housing and a singaporeans identity.

All existing PR to force sales or return to HDB. Only if the PR serves NS then can purchase HDB.

Private housing has always been there available for PR and foreigners. All landed property only for singaporeans. No exceptions and special approval for foreign buyers. We do not sell out our land for others to own Singapore. Else why foreigners not serving NS?

Could be the case where she only owns a mickey mouse condo or she still have outstanding loan.

But if her mum had done a LPA with her being one of the donee, can she help her mum to buy a resale 5-room flat?

Her mum's 2 room flexi flat too small for her family and cannot be sold in open market, and maybe her condo not enough rooms to accommodate her mum. That's likely her dilemma

She mentioned buying 5 room flat, so likely she needs at least 3 bedrooms. She unlikely staying in Mickey mouse condo. She extremely likely to use mum as an excuse to cash out on condo and get the 5 room flat.

If I'm the mp, I will tell her to sell and rent a place until waitout period is over then buy HDB. Else she can always rent out condo, and rent a HDB to accompany her mum.

Likely. She has so many options, rent out the condo, buy resale, but she want to cash out.

She can just rent for 15 months using the profit from selling her condo. Still have plenty left after 15 months of rental.

Aso may not be easy to sell or rent out her condo if location and conditions not good. Will get stuck in several ways. Hv to pay for renting the new place, for maintenance, property tax, insurance, ... for her condo and mum's flat without rental income, very jialat

If rented out or unoccupied, the property tax is very high, from 11% to 27% this year, to 12% to 36% next year.

Actually HDB already mention will view " individual case " if one request.

I suspect the HDB, knows her " smart intention " don't want sell the condo want to earn profits yet on the other hand so call want to take care her mum.

Summary she has to give up the condo sell off . I see like she want to ballot 5 rm flat?
