LTK was a Chinese teacher who decided to join politics after witnessing the damage and disadvantages his non-English medium students experienced by pro-English policies in the 1970s and 80s.  I cannot imagine what is now going through his mind now watching Pritam English-for-citizenship proposal backstabber after handing over the WP leadership..

Last GE was held under pandemic lock down in 2020. LTK was forced to make his final statement in video as a non-candidate.
In the video, he shared why he join politics in 1990s and how he was discriminated as non-English educated and was mocked and questioned if he can lead an oppositon party... Over 3 decades later, we see a new WP leader suggesting that English should be a measure of citizenship....What an insult.
