Honestly speaking now Global leaders don't bother much on SG is like " no need to talk partly SG will just follow who is the ruling party or president is don't matter " Even the Opposition knows SG is small need foreigner investors , even opposition one day become ruling party they Still work like PAP in the sense friendly with others don't make enemy but two Big Bro cannot be offend obviously is USA and China which are SG biggest investor.
Last time Global leaders bother SG partly they feel curious how SG progress under LKY team so come to visit a lot even invite LKY for talks etc
whereas you look now LHL , how many times he been invited ? even yes mostly within just South east Asia .
Compare with LKY times, he always get invited by Western countries for talk , visit beside Asia countries down to south east asia even Africa.
