Not easy. Unless China survived the attacks by USA then India has a better chance. If China succumbs as USSR and Japan did, then India has no chance as USA will most probably not commit the same "mistake" twice. It will nip India before it can even reach China's height.

Yep, as long as they have the caste system it is almost impossible for them to become a strong nation, because the talented underclass can never have upward mobility.
Dun even think of it.
