Yes, both sides killed thousands of innocents. Difference is Israel's airstrikes are/were targeted at subversives and children and babies were collateral damage, Hamas homocidally hunted, slaughtered , beheaded, gunned down the elderly, and children in cold blood. All will face judgement on the last day. And dun say Hamas was doing dis just for retaliation, crazy radicals will do this to anyone they deem as enemies, even their own family members. It is their ethos.

Should we pity Hamas?

Palestinians are not Hamas, among 2.2 million of Gazans only 20-30k are Hamas militants, like 1% only. So far 4200 civilians have been killed in airstrikes including 1900 kids, Israel takes revenge for 1300 deaths of Israelis, now Palestinian death toll is nearly 4 times already, still dunt want to stop killing. 9 years ago Israel killed 2000+ civilians in Gaza, Hamas attacked Israel for revenge.

The continued bombing only serve to push more to join Hamas even if they are neutral initially. Israel know this of cuz but I guess to them join or don't join I kill be it one or ten or hundred.
