I think many information were not passed down which resulted both the world and local archaeological team having to second guess or interpretation all the information that were surfaced.

Also not forgetting that back when the foreigners were colonising the world, they have “robbed” many artefacts back to their country. Or along the way, they (Brits, French and westerners) have destroyed some of the artefacts. Which doesn’t allow the team to piece things together. Just my opinion.
