Many hide at home eating Maggie mee.

PAP can easily reduce all the cooked food prices by 20%
But they don't want to take action
WHO voted for them??

That logic makes sense if you are buying things which will not impact your health.
Better buy that Rolex before the price goes up.
Better buy that condo unit before the price goes up.
But eating? Eat as much and as often as you can? Eating has to be in moderation. Too much of a good food is a bad thing.
Prices will surely go up. What to do? If you are not so well off, you have to switch to an inferior product. Or you cook the food which you used to order outside which means you switch to an inferior cook. Same food that you used to like... Crabs, Salmon fish, king prawns... now cooked by your wife who had never fried an egg all her life.
Just eat sweet potatoes everyday.
Cheap and promote longevity.

Our leaders are no different from senior management in big organizations who could prevent mass lay offs of the rank and file by accepting a pay cut of say 10 - 20% which won't hurt them much. However, greed prevents them from doing so. The axe continues to fall on the employees struggling to make ends meet.

Corporate CEO answerable to shareholders
Singapore politicians used taxpayers money and answerable to nobody.
