A LOT Voice out ...some comments

" Another thing that a President could do is to speak publicly about issues, such as what Ong Teng Cheong did back in 1999 where he spoke of how he had been informed by the Accountant-General that it would take “52 man-years” to produce the value of the full list of physical assets of the Government. This can result in huge embarrassment for the ruling party even if the government can still do things without the consent of the President. "

" As a president, is there such a thing as 'private capacity'? Similarly, holding such a high state position, does it also mean that all other public servants down the ranks, can also hold another 'job' in their private capacity? To allow MPs to hold another job, in itself is already a joke as it suggests that such positions are very 'free'. This is totally another new level. And, exactly why, there must be more oppositions in parliament to prevent further changes in the constitutions at will. "

" This is not good news. They wll spend more time overseas than with citizens doing their job here. "

" paying the President so high salary and then ininternational private capacity. please give me a break. i dont agreed. Please speak in official capacity . He will then be paid by private organisation and lobby group. unless his overseas private capacity he give to charity. then i keep quiet. "
With a two-third majority in parliament, they can even change constitution to abolish all elections.

Now you see the danger of voting for pap?
Self serving Govt that puts us at risk.
Have people seen the flaws of the system? With 83 : 9, anything can happen. No need to debate!

So, this is the power of super majority that can silence any and every voice!

If there is a choice, they prefer no elections so they can stay in power forever ala CCP. But becuz they need to do business with Western which value democracy, they are forced to have elections to show to the West we are a legally citizen elected in govt. It is all about putting up a front actually.
In other words, President will forever belong to them.

After OTC incident the ruling party suddenly become smart they need to find an obedient dog than an inquisitive mouse. So you see after OTC they put in place very obedient dogs and dogs are very loyal so no chance of them questioning their master. This is a very smart party and they learn pretty fast.
They can do whatever they like. Our land already gone case scenario.
