Strategic industry is only part of the economy not the whole economy.
Even US dominated every major industry in 1920s went into depression due to financial collapse.
You need to understand that you have some performance in the economy does not mean you are not in big trouble. Japan during its lost decade was the No.1 car producer, number 1 electronics etc.
China main problem is in its housing and local govt debt, both are huge problems that remain unsolved and will spread tk weaken its whole economy.
