Palestinian Christians earlier held a Christmas vigil in Bethlehem with candle-lit hymns and prayers for peace in Gaza instead of the usual celebration like large X'mas tree and festival events as another Israeli air strike killed at least 78 at Maghazi in central Gaza,....were women and children.

The Israeli army said it was reviewing the report of a Maghazi incident and was committed to minimising harm to civilians. Hamas denies the Israeli charge that it operates in densely populated areas or uses civilians as human shields.

5 Israeli hostages killed in Hamas captivity were recovered from an underground tunnel network in northern Gaza, the military said on 🎄 X'mas Day Sunday 25th Dec 2023. showing footage of a white-tiled bathroom and work room linked by dark concrete-lined passages.  Hamas said on Saturday it has lost contact with a group responsible for five Israeli hostages being held captive in the Gaza Strip due to Israeli bombardment. The Palestinian Islamist group believes the hostages were killed during an Israeli raid.


3 of them was last seen alive in a video released on 18 Dec.
