The police advise the public to download the ScamShield app to protect themselves from scam calls and SMSes
I have uninstalled my Scamshield,  I don't find it useful. 
Is this just a show by the authorities that they are doing something vis a vis the many scams.

Even though I have uninstalled my Scamshield,  my Samsung phone still  alerts me by flashing out "potential scam/fraud".

It is useful for out-dated and old numbers

But useless for new scam numbers
