Making a faster EV with longer range better specs is really not the issue. The issue is mass production.

Almost any company can make a prototype better than mass produced EV.

The problem is cost of production.
When producing for the mass market they have to choose a lower specs that is sweet spot for mass production.

When Xiaomi announce the price then we can be sure how confident they are to produce it...
