Huh? I thought Lee Kuan Yew was PM from 1959 (pre-independence) to 1990? That's more than 30 years. Even if we only count from independence onwards, it's still longer than 20 years.

Across the causeway, Mahathir was PM for 22 years in his first round as PM. And almost 2 years in his second round.

I hope he will stay on as an ESM. But it's up to him. He's given so much of his adult life to work for the peepur and the country, I would respect his decision if he wants to retire and have his Me Years.

Parliament must consider passing a law for 2 terms in office.

And thereafter, a mandatory 5 years break before coming back another 2 terms.

There were so many things went wrong in those 20 years in office.

Those mistakes could be minimised if he only stayed for period of 2 terms (10 years).
