Most hawkers have upped their prices. The hawkers are rejoicing and welcoming 2024 with open arms...an apt justification for them to up prices more than the additional 1% GST increase.

Most workers don't have the time to prepare their own packed lunch on weekdays, so they have to buy overpriced hawker meals near their workplace. As there isn't much to do on weekends, many of us eat out.  The hawkers are using the excuse of rising costs to justify their price increases.
