Lately went there with friends from Germany. Wanted to show them China Town. So dropped in for a cup of tea plus a potatoe cheese pie. Tea $1, pie $2.

Their donation model also quite modern can scan qr code even so I think takings not bad but their temple upkeep also quite a lot I would think. To keep it so big aircon for such big place electricity bill per month not cheap no lose to ministries and stat boards buildings etc
They were the only temple back then during construction asking for real gold donation. Asking devotees to donate gold.
Then the tooth has already been proven not a human like tooth. So no where near Buddha but the abbot chooses to think otherwise.
Previously is donate at will for the food you consume.

Many temples have already stopped giving free food. Now only left the River Valley one.
Buddhist fellowship has free food every Sunday. The food is brought there by the volunteers and devotees

Why the temple don't give free food since they are such a big grand temple and attract many go there and collect donation ?....Have you seen anything they return back to society ?

The temple attracted many tourists to go inside and take photos, but most of them did not donate. Ever saw a bao tau woman also went inside, to use the toilet.
