GST? Service charge? Which is which?
At least not the full 10% mah, so 8% is for staff serving you in the establishment... 2% for either the washing of cutlery or takeaway box. Seems fair.

Not supposed to - service charge is for dine-in

I highlighted it to the cashier in one of the Chinese restaurants for take-away when paying. The cashier apologised and re did the bill without the service charge. Only GST
nowaday every tom dick or hairy also charge thing they can think off.

some charge 50 cts for container take away even their container is paper type.
Should highlight to the auditors of the restaurant and let IRAS take legal action. 9% on top of the 2% Service charge which was take- away is wrong.
