I have already posted previously all about budget aka monies. Only someone like Minister can bang table say will get the monies for LTA. This is how govt works all is about budget aka monies.

I am talking about the U-turn this must be made after Iswaran which is Hong Tat times. As Minister he invoke his power to secure funding. So very fast LTA can do work now got monies.

Heard from someone that they were going to implement the new software for the fare system more than a year ago. So it is not his fault.

It does not matter who actually. The fact is- It is PaP, it is Ministry of Transport. 

When we cover our collegues on holiday, who will not think carefully to make a decision? Often, we will hold emergency meetings and get our facts first. However in this case, the basic principle of being accountble is absent thus resulting in this misadventure.

yah, at least he is not forceful to push through something that have almost no benefit to commuters. 
btw some MRT staff are probably relived as their jobs are temporary saved.

Since he was a deputy , he should have involved with the system or project. If he has sensed something not right ,after being a Transport Minister he still endorse it mandatory?

Will the fiasco be tabled in ParLeement to investigate the mistakes made by those responsible and what action to take against those culprits?

I wouldn't say SimplyGo has no benefit, just that its benefits are not really conveyed to the public. I must say that the public comms failed miserably.

SimplyGo has the benefit of storing the value of the card in the servers, so that even if you lose the card you dun lose the value. 

What the govt can do better is:

i). Inform public of the advantages of the new system
ii). Make the transition period to SimplyGo-only longer, so that once majority of people have migrated, they could remove ezlink
