Nightlife establishments that have temporarily pivoted to food and beverage operations will have to pass inspections before they can resume operations.

This new requirement is being implemented alongside a spate of tighter safe management measures (SMMs), including the need for all employees to undergo a PCR test before operations can resume.

According to a joint news release by the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE), the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), and the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), the additional SMMs that pivoted nightlife establishments must adhere to include:

  1. Only the main hall can be used for operations; all private rooms must be locked

They should conduct frequent sudden spot checks on them.
If not, do they think they will dare not have private room?
NEA/ ACRA should inspect their kitchen before their F&B license can be activated, lah.

PAP always put the cart in front of the horse like MOM. Anyhow issue Employment Pass without checking both academic certs and industry certs, then after 5 or 10 years then say they caught fake/ unrecognized certs like Ramesh.
How come so far we haven't read in the news about the KTV operators flouting the law being charged in court? Whereas the RV student with mental problem was charged the next day.
banned private rooms?
hahahaha....
