Actually in real life too during COVID-19 when mask wearing was mandatory 

Girls looked prettier with a mask on. I suppose they have nice hair and beautiful eyes and the mask drew focus on those, especially their eyes, without the distraction that an ugly lip and a flat nose with the holes pointing at people would cause..

These days AI filters are very powerful..don't even need make up just click one button and transform to beauty queen.

A woman's permed hair and eye make-up enhance her looks.  If she has a flat nose or unattractive lips, the mask would conceal her less attractive features.  I actually find girls looking more alluring in bikinis rather than exposing their bust and bush, which leaves nothing to the imagination.
