Must not believe that she will have such understanding forever. Very quickly she will start to wonder why she is not getting pampered like someone else's bf or hubby can provide. Then she will seek others.

Women are very practical and pure biz.

My friend's parents don't approve of her boyfriend because he is a private tutor even though he earns more than most of his former NUS cohort who hold PME jobs. The parents say that the BF's salary is not stable. The same can be said of businessmen, lawyers and doctors in private practice, insurance/property agents etc.
