Hong Kong boys go straight to university after their A levels just like their girls. They have the PLA to defend the territory.

Are Singapore trained NSmen better than professional Gurkhas?
Singapore soldiers are not ranked world's No.1 or listed anywhere
If not, why don't leaders think out of the box.

After completing 2 years, every NSman don't think they are any better or able to match those professional Gurkhas, so, why not leave to the experts.
As Usual, using falling birth rate as an excuse for everything.
Since Govt imported so-called FTs to grow the economy, why not bring Gurkhas to better defence the country..?
And allowing our young to go into University and eventually, to compete with imported FTs.
Over the past years, all elderly males died alone at home have done 2 years NS and served years of reservists. Supposedly, majority were SAFRA members.
But none has a University degree.
What's that telling us?
