The MIW have been aware of the problem of filthy public toilets a long time ago, but due to the enormous paperwork, they flushed away the idea of doing something about the problem. In fact, our politicians wiped the initiative away in double quick time.

This Govt is not able to handle basic issues and need another task force.

The civil servants are taking the easy way out by setting up taskforces then outsource the thinking of solutions to them. If the solutions dun work, they can blame the taskforce. If they work they will take the credit.

In reality, many of the problems have straightforward solutions. Just need to go down to the root of the problem. How to improve cleanliness of toilets? You've got to have cleaning done more frequently!

apart from getting exorbitant salary+allowance

and not doing any community related chores

Toilets in Japan are so well maintained.
