Bill tabled to set out how police can arrest mentally disordered suspects, criminalise misuse of SIM cards

The tabling of the Bill follows a High Court case earlier this year, when a mentally disordered man was awarded S$20,000 in damages as the court found he was falsely imprisoned by the police.

If the police officer goes too close to try to ascertain if the person behaving oddly is deranged, the cop would be close enough to be stabbed.

So mata can deemed anybody who don't speak politely and respectfully to them is mentally disordered???
