HK is no longer that expensive compared to Spore. You can stay in a 5-star hotel in HK for under $200 but not in Spore. Moreover, many goods such as luxury bags, iphones, electrical products are all much cheaper in HK as there is no GST. Food in HK although may look like its expensive, is actually cheaper, since their portion really comes with quality and quantity.
