The humble curry puff, be it the ock deep fried huan, the Indian triangular shaped huan or the Teochew style baked huan, is a reminder of where we came from.

Today we take eating at KFC, Texas, Jollibee for granted. Big pieces of chicken. Yet there was a time when the tiny bits of chicken in the curry pok was a sheer extravagance.
