Full Version: Why you need to change money before going into Malaysia

Since the money changer there can demand personal particulars and privacy protection regulatikn js not tightly enforced, there are all sorts of risks. Recently scam syndicates got smashed members were from Malaysia.
How can one feel safe giving particulars to a money change in a  booth. ..

If really need  rather pay a fee and withdraw from ATM.

Now change no need give passport. Last month they required!
If you go jb often, open an account and get a debit/visa card for payments, or use duit like paynow paylah.

Or can try youtrip or trust card which I haven't tried
U change a few hundred thousands maybe need passport lah. Change a few hundred also need meh?

No need leh, uob, maybank and 大众 (for checking account). Just make some deposits when rates are good, for online payments or card payments, very convenient

Singaporeans can open a bank acc in msia?  Cannot lah

Last time need either employment or recommenders, now not sure the new requirements, maybe properties or long term pass
