Out of its population of 1.4 billion people, 35 million people lack access to safe water and 678 million people lack access to a safe toilet.

India wants to talk cock and be a developed nation yet can't provide clean water and decent toilets to half its population?

This will upset Oyk the CECA pundek LOL!

They will need time to improve as the country marches ahead. Just like China which used to have a large population without proper access the safe drinking water some years back. Although there have been improvements in the last few decades, millions still have no access.

If they believe in bathing in and drinking from the Ganges river, they'll never have safe water to drink.

No river water will be fit for drinking until it is filtered. We make drinking water (new water) from sewerage water.
Situations in India improved over the years

You don't seem to be able to be objective!

Look at the statistics :

Drinking water quality is measured as part of the annual Environmental Performance Index (EPI). Higher scores indicate higher water quality.

China :  58.4

India : 18.3

The Ganges is full of dead humans and animals, so I am amazed that some Indians actually bathe and even drink from that polluted waterway. These are the same people who celebrate the cow dung festival by smearing each other with turd and drink cow's urine for wellness. No wonder most Indians want to leave that shit hole of a country.
