'Go home': Overtourism sparks backlash in Spain

Anti-tourism movements are multiplying in Spain, prompting the authorities to try and reconcile the interests of locals and the lucrative sector.

The problem in S'pore is "overpopulation" sparking a backlash at foreigners who are displacing citizens from their livelihood.
All Spain needs is another Euro crisis for them to wake up their idea. Most countries have to beg for tourists to come. Blame their own local government for not building enough homes, don't blame tourists.

Right now, quite a few countries are suffering from over-tourism such as The Netherlands (Amsterdam), Indonesia (Bali) and Japan.

I think it could be because of people being cooped up during the pandemic years and thus the last few years, people started to travel more to compensate.

This kind of reminds me of employees complaining about too much work when business is roaring. Would they rather shake legs, but be in danger of getting laid off at any time because their employer's business is poor?
